Oh, thank god. I thought this was gonna be some pervy shit. I'm so glad...

okay then why'd you click?
I'm surprised this voice is not just you talking cuz it's so incoherent.
Well, the part that was used in this animation was due to the lack of context.
Now I'll see the original since it actually seems cool.
what you mean my voice incoherent?? >:(
Now this is true, pure pixel art. No mixels, and sticks to proper palettes and color limitations, except for the god rays at the end in those few frames which is the only thing I can honestly criticize.
Truly a beautiful fan work.
Yeah, the god rays were a cheat. I wasn't sure if the old trick of 'dithered graphics flickering in/out of sight' would register very well on a 24fps video, so I went with the safe bet.
I made this video at a small base resolution (216x120) and then upscaled for the render, so it keeps the correct pixel grid for things like movement and sine waves and rotations.
I'm glad to see a fellow sprite purist! It's fun creating art adhering to specific hardware limitations like NES, Genesis, NGPC, Game Boy, etc
Pretty cool. The raymond song at the end was awesome, too.
Thank you, sir!
Damn, that was fucking awesome. My favorite part was when Jordan showed up, the imitation was spot-on.
Wow, that was fucking amazing. Perfect.
Thanks! :)
She would fit perfectly in Skullgirls or Indivisible. The music and the environments were beautiful.
- Just learned you actually worked with Lab Zero. What a coincidence, huh?
By the way, why wasn't this posted in NG back in 2009?
Well, at the time it was not intended to be available online as it was making its rounds at festivals and screenings. By the time that was over, either NG did not have video publishing available yet, or I was no longer posting here to begin with.
That was really weird. The animation quality is great, but I don't think a drawing of a penis and blood spurting out of another kirby-like creature are tone-appropriate for Kirby.
But the weirdest thing was the lack of sound. Yes there were sound effects and stuff but it was weirdly silent still.
edit: I agree with the artist on creative liberties. I still stand my ground on Kirby though. He is pure!
I understand what you mean. However, even though these characters are not mine, I think each creator should put their lil stamp on their work, their trademark, if you will. (Mine being cute/violent) You can see that in a lot of cartoon/video games parodies online.
As a passion project, things are more interesting when people take liberties instead of being restricted by an imaginary guide-line as there shouldn't be boundaries to creativity. (As long as it's not illegal, of course) It makes the final product much more personal. If this series was "Nintendo-official", I'd have to censor myself, I'm enjoying the fact that I don't have to.
Thank you for watching and for sharing your concerns!
The ending section was the best part
my fav part too
How surreal.
Spoople here.
Thank you.
Okay then.
